Every Monday is Club Night at the club from 7pm until dark and every Friday it's Juniors club night between 5pm to 6pm.

Ladies Team Update

Ladies team matches have went so so this year, with the weather against us we have had to arrange and rearrange matches but as of the 25th of August we have finally managed to play them all! We have won 4, drawn 1 and lost 3 this means that we have done enough to stay in division 5B and we look forward to next year and having some more good matches.
I would just like to say that it has been very difficult this year as the number of ladies available seam to be at an all time low, which is very sad and hopefully next season will be different.
I would just like to say a big thank you to all the ladies that did make them selves available to myself for selection but I am glad that it is over for another year.

Gents Team Update

Strathaven Gents Team have got the new season off to a flying start with a fine 8-1 away win against Mount Vernon on Friday the 11th May followed by another great 6-3 home victory against a strong Strathgryffe side on Tuesday 22nd May

1st couple Donald Stearn and Douglas Graham won 3 sets to love.

2nd couple Bruce Rankin and Gary Stoddart won 2 sets to one.

3rd couple Malcolm Campbell and Murray Herbert won 3 sets to love.

1st couple David Gillon and Douglas Graham won 3 sets to love.

2nd couple Donald Stearn and Richard Hannah won 2 sets to 1

3rd couple Bruce Rankin and Murray Herbert Lost 2 sets to 1

The match secretary would like to thank everyone who played their part in these two victories and is looking forward to the next match and hopefully a very successful season ahead.

The club is also intending to run a Tuesday junior club night from 7-8pm, starting on Tuesday 1st of May. Again it’s a great way of meeting fellow tennis players and developing your skills by playing some matches. This is available to all junior members. Hope to see you there!
